Premeditatively, You could Not Choose For Riches
By Colin James
Rationalization,
numeration and quotas
has our particleboard
arrow fried,
wilted with
turned up ends.
Only mother’s philanthropy.
can help us now.
She made the sandwiches
overflowing. Attempts, supplications,
as if we were to replace her
with a sprite or kibbutz.
Bio: Colin James has several chapbooks of poems, Dreams Of The Really Annoying from Writers Knight Press and A Thoroughness Not Deprived Of Absurdity from Pisces’s Porch Press and book of poems, Resisting Probability, from Sagging Meniscus Press. He lives in Massachusetts.
